Overview

The Energex Pool Rewards Program provides eligible South East Queensland households an incentive of a $250 EFTPOS gift card to connect a pool pump to an off-peak electricity tariff or a $150 EFTPOS gift card to install a minimum 5-star rated energy-efficient pool pump.

Households benefit by accessing the savings of a cheaper electricity rate or lower electricity use as well as helping to reduce peak electricity demand.

Key eligibility

To be eligible for this rebate you must:

• be the electricity account holder at the property;
• connect a pool pump to an off-peak electricity tariff on or after 1 January 2012; or
• install a minimum 5-star rated energy-efficient pool pump on or after 1 January 2012;
• submit a completed application form that has been completed by you and the authorised person who has carried out the electrical and/or plumbing works.

If you’re renting, the owner of the property must also complete a Registered Owner Approval Form, this needs to be attached to your application form. All completed forms must be received by Energex by 30 June 2013.

If you connect your electric hot water system to an off-peak tariff at the same time you may also be eligible for an additional $100 EFTPOS gift card under the Energex Hot Water Rewards scheme.
