Electricity feed-in tariff

The Northern Territory Grid Connected Solar Feed-in Scheme rewards households that install solar power (photovoltaic - PV) renewable energy systems by paying them for the electricity they generate.

Home energy rebates

Northern Territory households can claim a 50% rebate, up to the value of $200, on the cost and installation of selected energy saving items including power boards, timers and power usage meters.

Home sustainability assessment

The Green Loans program offers households across Australia access to a free home sustainability assessment and report to help make practical improvements to their home and save energy and water.

Renewable power incentives

Households across Australia installing a small scale solar, wind or hydro renewable electricity system may be eligible for a benefit via Renewable Energy Certificates and Solar Credits.

LPG gas vehicle conversion

The LPG Vehicle Scheme offers grants of $2,000 towards the purchase of a new vehicle already fitted with LPG or a grant of $1,500 for the LPG conversion of a new or used vehicle. You can only apply for one grant every 3 years.

Rainwater tank rebate

Households and community groups in the Northern Territory can access rebates of up to $1,900 for the purchase, installation and plumbing of a rainwater tank, including connecting guttering.

Solar hot water installation rebate

Northern Territory households may be eligible for up to $1,000 with the Solar Hot Water Retrofit Rebate for replacing an electric storage hot water system with a new solar hot water system.

Solar hot water or heat pump rebate

Households across Australia that replace an existing electric storage hot water system may be eligible for rebates of $1,000 for a solar hot water system or $600 for a heat pump hot water system under the Renewable Energy Bonus Scheme.

Water saving appliances rebates

The NT Waterwise Central Australia Rebate Scheme provides Alice Springs and Tennant Creek households with rebates of up to $150 for certain water-saving products and up to $500 for eligible water-saving plumbing services.

Water tank or greywater system rebate

Households across Australia can receive up to $500 under the National Rainwater and Greywater initiative to install rainwater tanks or a greywater treatment system.
